Andy Manning had wanted to build an extension to his kitchen area for a while to allow greater living space to his home, and approached us to get planning approval for it.

This was actually quite a technically challenging project, partly as the extension needed to be built off the back of the house, in between two already existing extensions, and partly because of the unusual construction of the roof needed to blend in with the house.

We suggested a couple of different methods for the construction of the roof in order to match the existing house appearance, as well as allowing for Velux windows to be installed to allow more light into the kitchen extension.

The Design Social secured planning approval for this project and the project is currently under construction.
