Ruksana’s property had previously had a couple of large extensions stuck onto the back of it, however as the work had been done in a few different phases, the overall internal layout was not particularly convenient to navigate. As such, they began a project that would incorporate the different elements better, leading them to email us through our website for some assistance with the technical work.

We were happy to work on this unique project, carrying out our standard process of a meeting and on-site survey, before we used the information and measurements from those jobs to fully recreate the existing building as a 3D model, which would allow us both to give our client a clear visual insight on what work would need carrying out, as well as allowing us to show our structural engineer a more technical view, which aided the structural calculations for the steelwork that would need to be done.

After we learnt what we could do, we created drawings that showed many technical details on the structure of the proposed layout, then we sent those drawings to the local building authority, showing them that the resulting design would be sturdy and safe, not just visually appealing. Due to this, we were able to get Ruksana the planning permission and building regs approval they needed to fully carry out the project.
