Environments for Business approached The Design Social for help designing a roof terrace for their client, Sports Interactive, in Stratford, London. The brief was to create an outdoor space that could be used as a relaxed meeting, working and break area for staff.

The proposed design incorporated a series of glazed structures to provide additional usable workspace while maintaining a strong connection with the terrace outside. Planting, including shrubs and trees, was incorporated throughout the scheme to help create a more relaxed environment and soften the appearance of the new structures.

The project also required planning approval, so we produced a series of 3D visualisations showing how the proposed development would appear from different publicly accessible viewpoints. These helped demonstrate the visual impact of the roof terrace and how the proposed planting would integrate the development with its surroundings.
