You may have noticed that it has been a while since any updates have been added to the site. Since September 2016, The Design Social has been providing support to Siemens for BIM 3D modelling on Crossrail. It’s been good fun working on the project again & we’re very happy that Siemens were impressed enough with our services, to bring us back on board. More updates to follow.
We have just completed a successful planning application for the Smith family at Wollaton in Nottinghamshire.
The application included a garage conversion, a conservatory rebuild & structural calculations to support the demolition of internal walls. Craig Smith had these lovely words for us:
“Barnaby from The Design Social duly arrived at the agreed time & then set about discussing all our needs. Nothing was too much trouble for him & he spent a great deal of time with us until everything was explained & understood. The service they provided was absolutely second to none & when we put that together with their price they were 25% cheaper than their nearest competitor. I would also just like to add that the support afterwards & during was excellent. I would urge anyone considering plans to call The Design Social first & give them a chance. You will not be disappointed.

A new planning application handled on behalf of Sue Phillips of Elmesthorpe, Leicestershire, has been granted approval by Blaby District Council.
Sue was delighted with our service, here’s what she had to say:
I would recommend to anyone The Design Social for any planning application. The service I received was second to none, Sophie who came to the house was efficient, professional & advised me the best way to go forward with my extension which turns out to have saved me a lot of money.
The plans were drawn up quickly & Sophie dealt with everything including the council, the decision was made quickly & I think without the support & expertise from the Design Social it would have taken longer.
All in all I am impressed with the service I received from them & I would recommend the Design Social to anyone without hesitation.
We’ve started work on a new exhibition at The Swan Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Really looking forward to getting started on this.
