Adam Withers has been running a hairdressing salon from his home for many years, and needed an extension on the property to allow for a more professional space.
He approached us to draw up an extended and more spacious salon area to allow space for more customers, as well as a two storey front extension that would not only provide a proper lobby area for the business, but would also open up a small box room on the upper levels of the property to become a new, enlarged bedroom to give more living space to his family.
This was a very creatively challenging project as not only did this extension need to balance the professional working space of the salon with the lovely family space of the existing house, it also had to look sleek and modern from the outside.
We suggested using powder-coated metal sheets and composite timber cladding in order to get a truly modern feel to this project and got planning approval in no time.
This project is currently under way and is being built now.
