Behzad Abedi approached The Design Social with plans to create a more open and spacious ground-floor layout within his property. The project involved reworking the existing internal space and opening up a substantial section of the ground floor to create a more open-plan arrangement.

We developed the proposed layout and prepared the drawings required for the work, including the information needed for the permitted development application.

As the alterations involved significant changes to the existing structure, we also coordinated the structural calculations required for the project. This allowed the proposed interior layout and structural requirements to be considered together as the design progressed.
