When Hannah Webbe approached us with their project, we knew immediately it was an important job that would need fixing as soon as possible. They had recently purchased an older property that had previously had an extension added onto the side elevation, however the new section was not fully supported with steelwork and the ceiling was starting to sag as a result of this work. If left unattended, this could have caused damage to the existing building at best or been a serious risk to their health at worst.
We began by carrying out a survey of the existing property to understand the building and the previous alterations. Using the information gathered, we created a 3D CAD model of the property and developed the proposed changes required to support the existing structure.
Once the proposed work had been developed, we prepared the relevant information for Building Regulations and liaised with Building Control as the application progressed. The work subsequently received approval, allowing the project to move forward.
