Bini Babu approached The Design Social for help with a loft conversion and rear extension to a property in Hinckley. The project required design work alongside planning, Building Regulations and structural calculations before the proposed alterations could move forward.
We started with an initial meeting to understand what Bini wanted to achieve before carrying out a survey of the existing property. Using the information gathered during the survey, we created a 3D CAD model to develop the proposed design and provide a clear view of how the changes would work with the existing house.
Once the design had been developed, we prepared the drawings and technical information required for the planning and Building Regulations stages, including coordination of the structural calculations. We also liaised with the local authority as the applications progressed. Planning approval was subsequently granted, allowing the project to move forward.
